MARJORIE S. FRIDKIN, M.D. F.A.C.S. received her Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Michigan in 1996, majoring in Neuropsychology. She attended The University of Maryland School of Medicine in 2000 where she received her medical degree. A surgical internship and residency in general surgery was completed at Boston University Medical Center in 2005. While in her 4th year of medical school, Dr. Fridkin participated in the AHEC program, studying rural primary care in Garrett County Maryland. During this time, she started her participation with Central American Medical Outreach by going on a medical mission to provide orthopedic care in Santa Rosa de Copan, Honduras. Following her residency, she returned to Maryland and started a private practice in General Surgery at the office of Garrett County Orthopedics in 2005. Dr. Fridkin is the Medical Director of the Wound Care Center at Garrett Regional Medical Center which she accepted in 2009. In 2011, she began practicing out of Garrett Surgical Group, P.A. Dr. Fridkin is the Chief Medical Officer at Garrett Regional Medical Center effective in 2014. She also participates in the Medical Executive Committee, the Quality Assurance and Risk Management Committee, the Peer Review Committee, and is the Physician Liaison for the Computerized Physician Order Entry process at Garrett Regional Medical Center.
